Easy Mover

Moving house can be one of the most stressful things you can do. It requires a lot of preparation and organisation, especially if you do the move yourself. Using some furniture removalists might be the solution you're looking for. They'll take all of your belongings and even wrap things like mirrors, then load them carefully into a large van and offload them into your new place. It can save you hours of wasted time; however, you'll still need to prepare your own boxes for them to collect. This guide will offer some hints and tips that will help you prepare and make the move as easy as possible.

That's A Wrap

Buying boxes and wrapping resources can be a costly thing to do. Boxes themselves are usually not too bad and can be bought from a variety of different stores; however, bubble wrap can be very expensive. One of the best things you can do is save newspapers, bubble wrap and plastic packaging materials on the lead up to the move. This will cut costs, and many of the materials can be taken from old electronic boxes and provided by friends and family. Newspaper is particularly good for screwing up into balls to provide extra padding between glass items. Prepping your boxes properly will ensure nothing gets broken in the move and means the removal company won't have to worry about handling things too carefully and slowing down the whole process.

Speed It Up

So that you can help the removalists drop off your boxes quickly, label each one with whatever room they belong in. You can even get the kids involved if you want to — get them to draw pictures on the outsides of the boxes that also help to show where the boxes belong. This is a great way to keep them preoccupied during those days when you're packing up. You should layer old blankets or strips of cardboard onto the floor so that the removalists can walk through the house or flat without the need to remove shoes or place on shoe covers. The last thing you want is for carpet to get stained or wooden floors to become scratched.

Load It By Weight

Consider the weight of your boxes. You don't want the boxes underneath to become overburdened. During your packing, stick red labels onto the heavy boxes that should be stored on the bottom and a different colour for those that need to be on top.
